Holiday Helpings

It's that time of year...my favorite time of year...it's Holiday Helpings time! What is Holiday Helpings? It's our annual campaign to provide holiday meals to 10,000 low-income DC families. These holiday meals generally consist of turkey (despite the turkey's clear objections), stuffing, cranberries, fruit, macaroni, sweet potatoes, green beans, and corn.

In light of our increased nutrition efforts, we will try to provide fresh produce instead of canned as much as possible and we will not be distributing high-sodium canned gravy. Do you want to help? Just $28 will provide a holiday meal for a family of 4!

How can you get involved?
  • Make a cash gift. Just $28 will provide a holiday meal for a family of 4.
  • Organize a cash and food drive. Contact me for more information at 202.386.7611.
  • Involve family & friends. Ask your family or friends to make a Holiday Helpings contribution in your name in lieu of a holiday gift, or make a contribution in honor of someone on your list.
  • Volunteer. Our greatest need is during business hours, but there may be other opportunities. Contact Matt for more information at 202.386.7606.

Check out the Holiday Helpings brochure for more information. If you have any questions, just let me know!
