These cartoonists seem to be mixing up their "Medi"s. The middle one seems to depict an old woman, yet it says "Medicaid" while the bottom one seems to be talking about a baby (doll) being sick, but it says "Medicare." Now, I know senior citizens can receive Medicare supplemented by Medicaid if they are low income, but babies just don't get Medicare...perhaps the cartoonists need a review of their health plans?
Mission: Bread for the City provides comprehensive direct services to Washington DC's low-income communities. We envision a nurturing community where all residents have access to the resources they need to live with dignity and respect. Here at Beyond Bread, we blog that vision.
