Attorneys from the firm Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP won the annual Frank Wheat Memorial Award, in recognition of their tireless work with Bread for the City over the past three years. (They also won the annual Pro Bono Partner Award at Bread for the City's Good Hope Awards in October 2007.)
Partners F. Joseph Warin and Daniel Nelson and associates Daniel Cantu, Thomas Burns, Matthew Hampton, Grant Book, Erin Sullivan, Amanda Neely and Aditi Prabhu have worked with Staff Attorney Rebecca Lindhurst, representing two low-income tenant associations in litigation against an illegal conversion of apartment buildings into condominiums. The case is still ongoing.
Along with the recogntion for a job well done, Bread for the City's legal clinic was awarded a small cash grant. Thank you Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher!
